By adopting said decision, the ministry has adopted the unions'
request that the agreement apply to all workers in the sector of
tourism and catering, put forward after the signing of the
agreement in May.
Labour and Social Welfare Minister Davorko Vidovic's decision was
announced today by his deputy Bozo Zaja at a working meeting of
government officials, employers, unions and officials from the
State Inspectorate, held in Zagreb.
The collective agreement sets the lowest salary in the sector at
1,821 kuna and introduces a 30-percent bonus for night shifts and
work on Sundays, a 50-percent bonus for overtime and work on
holidays, and a 10-percent bonus for work in afternoon shifts.
