Yugoslav counterpart Vojislav Kostunica agree that stability in
Southeast Europe can be achieved only through the consistent
implementation of the Stabilisation and Association process with
an aim to join European associations.#L#
The two presidents adjusted the text of a joint statement on Friday
evening during a summit of central European presidents held in
Slovenia's Bled. The statement was published on Saturday.
In the first item of the joint statement the two presidents said
that the normalisation of relations between Croatia and Yugoslavia
should continue in all fields of mutual interest. The second item
emphasises that the two countries need to facilitate the free flow
of people goods and ideas in line with European standards and
introduce the liberalisation of the visa regime.
Kostunica and Mesic said that obstacles to the return of refugees
and displaced persons as well as those to the repossession of
