"This is one of the most important state visits considering the
greatness and importance of China in which we were received in a
friendly manner, and it would be good if the Croatian public knew
what this is about and what opportunities Croatia's economy may
have from my visit," Mesic told Croatian reporters.
Some Croatian newspapers and the television issued incomplete
information about Mesic's visit to China, for which he expressed
regret.
"I think that I have opened many doors with my visits for
positioning Croatia in the world, the region and Europe, and I have
done as much as the circumstances allow," Mesic said.
