The parliament on Friday also discussed a report on the work of the
Croatian Academy of Arts and Science. The 22nd session should
resume on Tuesday,
Commenting on an annual report of the Croatian Bureau for Pension
Insurance (HZMO), Zaja said the government would by September
propose to parliament a package of measures which would regulate
the zero degree of pension insurance for older persons who were not
included in the contribution system.
The HZMO report was presented by HZMO president Srecko Vukovic who
said the increase rate in the number of retired persons last year
was smaller that in previous years. At the same time the number of
insurees slightly increased, so one can say that negative trends
ended, Vukovic said.
