ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Monday received the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Chief Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, to discuss cooperation between Croatia and the
Hague-based tribunal and del Ponte's visit to eastern Slavonia scheduled for Tuesday.
ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Monday
received the International Criminal Tribunal for the former
Yugoslavia (ICTY) Chief Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, to discuss
cooperation between Croatia and the Hague-based tribunal and del
Ponte's visit to eastern Slavonia scheduled for Tuesday.#L#
"During the meeting, the two officials focused on general
cooperation issues," the Croatian government public relations
office said in a statement.
"They also focused on tomorrow's working visit to eastern Slavonia,
specifically sites mentioned in ICTY indictments," the statement
said.
The Zagreb meeting between the Hague war crimes tribunal's chief
prosecutor and the Croatian Prime Minister on Monday ended after 75
minutes. Del Ponte did not make any press statements.
Del Ponte, who arrived today for a two-day visit to Croatia, told
reporters she would speak to them tomorrow.
