Quoting unnamed but well-informed sources close to the Supreme
Court, FTV said that former interior minister and head of the Agency
for Research and Documentation (AID) Bakir Alispahic and his
associates Irfan Ljevakovic and Enver Mujezinovic would be
interviewed in the next few days.
The interviews could be followed by a decision to take them into
custody pending court proceedings.
The Dnevni Avaz daily claims the three men are under police
supervision already, under some sort of house arrest.
Alispahic, Ljevakovic, and Mujezinovic are charged with organising
terrorist training for members of the Bosnian Interior Ministry
during the 1990s war, in cooperation with the Iranian secret
service Vevak.
The goal of the training was to prepare the elimination of prominent
opponents of the Party of Democratic Action.
After NATO peace-keepers closed the training headquarters in
central Bosnia in 1996, Alispahic and his associates are suspected
of having organised the hiding of those who attended training by
providing them with false identities and documents.
The three men are also charged with having planned the
assassination of Fikret Abdic in 1996, at the time the political
opponent of the Sarajevo authorities.
