Mihajlovic was unable to confirm announcements in the Serbian media
that Yugoslavia's former prime minister Nikola Sainovic, who has
been charged with war crimes in Kosovo in 1999 alongside former
president Slobodan Milosevic, might surrender to the Hague war
crimes tribunal.
Mihajlovic confirmed that today the Serbian government would
appoint its representatives to the National Council for
cooperation with the UN tribunal. The Yugoslav government decided
yesterday that three federal ministers would represent it in the
Council, Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, Interior Minister
Zoran Zivkovic, and Justice Minister Savo Markovic.
