MOSCOW/ZAGREB, April 17 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Hrvoje Vojkovic in Moscow on Wednesday held talks with Russian deputy economic development minister Rodljod Ferdinandovic Piskoppelj on negotiations on a free trade agreement
between the two countries, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a statement.

economic development minister Rodljod Ferdinandovic Piskoppelj on
negotiations on a free trade agreement between the two countries,
the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a statement.#L#
Vojkovic, who is visiting Russia as a part of a Croatian delegation,
led by President Stjepan Mesic, and Piskoppelj discussed the
signing of a new agreement on encouraging and protecting
investments, the statement said.
Trade between Russia and Croatia in 2001 amounted to US$756
million. New possibilities of increasing the two countries' trade
lay in shipbuilding industry, mechanical engineering, building
industry and tourism.
The two officials also discussed the settling of Russia's clearing
debt to the Croatia in energy sources, the statement said.
Vojkovic was also received by the director of the Russian power
company.
