ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - The growth of Gross Domestic Product

Croatian government goals for the future, Prime Minister Ivica
Racan said on Tuesday. #L#
Racan spoke at the Fourth round table representatives of the
government hold with businessmen. Organised by the Economist
Conference, the event pooled 110 representatives of the
international and Croatian business community.
The government's ambition is to double GDP over the next 15 years,
which requires an average annual growth of five percent, said
Racan.
He announced that the government would soon draw up conditions
which are necessary for the realisation of an even higher growth
rate.
The biggest problem is an unemployment figure of 415,000 people,
Racan said, but added this figure included those who were only
nominally unemployed. The so-called poll unemployment rate in
Croatia is 16 percent, he said.
