Under the first conclusion, the commission will be expanded to
include one or more members from the ranks of the laid-off
officers.
Under the second, the 13 policemen on hunger strike have precedence
in the finding of solutions for the laid-off officers' status.
The third conclusion states that the officers' issues will be dealt
with by alphabetical order of their police departments.
The fourth outlines possible models of care - retirement,
employment in judiciary police, customs, fire-fighting and
security, or assignment in the Interior Ministry.
Under the fifth conclusion, the commission must be supplied with
lists of employees the laid-off officers claim made omissions in
during assignment of positions.
The government set up the commission earlier today after a group of
unassigned and laid-off policemen began a strike in front of the
government 16 days ago. Some are on hunger strike.
The government appointed seven representatives of the Interior
Ministry to the commission, two representatives of the Justice
Ministry, and three representatives of the laid-off police.
