ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - During Thursday's session in the parliament, Prime Minister Ivica Racan proposed that MPs hold a vote of confidence in Drazen Budisa as first deputy prime minister, Goran Granic as vice premier, and Marijo
Kovac and Hrvoje Vojkovic as maritime and economy ministers.
ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - During Thursday's session in the
parliament, Prime Minister Ivica Racan proposed that MPs hold a
vote of confidence in Drazen Budisa as first deputy prime minister,
Goran Granic as vice premier, and Marijo Kovac and Hrvoje Vojkovic
as maritime and economy ministers.#L#
The parliament should also pass decisions on relieving the current
maritime and economy ministers, Alojz Tusek and Goranko Fizulic, of
their duties.
A vote of confidence in new members of the government would
definitely bring to an end the crisis which has been shaking the
coalition for some time.
The parliament adopted a national programme on combating
corruption with an action plan and passed a law on mediation in
employment and the rights of the unemployed.
Representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) were the
only ones to oppose the government's programme on combating
corruption.
The parliament also adopted a law on the mediation in employment and
the rights of the unemployed, under which the unemployed person is a
person between 15 and 65 years of age able or partially able to
work.
The law also stipulates that the unemployed persons must accept a
job offer within 80 kilometres from their place of residence if the
employers compensate travel expenses.
Homeland War invalids can register at the Croatian Employment
Bureau as unemployed persons.
