ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - The Croatian parliamentary Foreign
Affairs Committee on Friday opposed the parliament ratifying an
agreement on Ploce Harbour until Article 9 of the agreement is
changed. #L#
The Committee agrees and hopes that the article will be changed as
soon as possible, the Committee's chairman and parliamentary
speaker, Zdravko Tomac, said.
The Foreign Affairs Committee included the Ploce Harbour issue in
its agenda after Sarajevo's daily "Oslobodjenje" wrote in Friday's
issue that the Bosnian government was divided on the issue.
Chairman of the Bosnian Council of Ministers Zlatko Lagumdzija and
Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan agreed in Zagreb on March 6 that
they will firstly harmonise protocols which regulate amendments to
the Ploce Harbour Agreement thus annulling a provision whereby a
foreign citizen should chair the harbour's management board and
arbitrate in cases of disputes.
The parliament would ratify the agreement after the protocols are
harmonised.
