NHI ASKS ALL THREE BOSNIAN PEOPLES TO BE CONSTITUTIVE

ZENICA, March 9 (Hina) - The New Croat Initiative party (NHI) on Saturday said its chief political goal is achieving that Croats, Bosniaks and Serbs be constitutive peoples in the entire Bosnian territory. The party's Central Committee held a session in Zenica at which it adopted a declaration stipulating the implementation of constitutional changes this year, which will secure the constitutive quality and equality of Croats, Bosniaks and Serbs in Bosnia. NHI president Kresimir Zubak said the upcoming constitutional changes are more important for his party than the results of this autumn's elections. Zubak said that the most important issue for Bosnia's future in the next ten years is how the constitutional changes will be implemented in the Bosnian Federation and Republika Srpska. The position of the Croat people and other peoples in Bosnia will depend on this, Zubak added. The NHI said that a very large number of Bosnian Croats emigrated to Croatia or third countries. Zubak said that the large number of Bosnian Croats who emigrated is almost completely lost for Bosnia. According to him, currently Bosnia numbers 3,770,000 citizens, of whom 570,000 are Croats, while 109,000 Croats returned to their homes in Bosnia after the war. (hina) lml sb
