SIBENIK SIBENIK, Feb 20 (Hina) - Sibenik police has arrested the former commander of the so-called Krajina militia, Javor Baljak (born in 1964), under founded suspicion that he had committed a war crime. After his questioning, he was
taken to the investigating centre at the Sibenik court late Tuesday night. Sibenik-Knin County police commissioner Ivica Simac said Baljak had at the beginning of July 1991, taken a Croatian police officer off a bus in Bratiskovci, and questioned and physically abused him, along with other members of the militia. Baljak is also suspected of having taken a 73-year-old man out of his home in Rupe in August 1991 and physically abused him.(hina) lml
