MOSTAR, Feb 11 (Hina) - The High Representative in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Wolfgang Petritsch, has refuted media speculations on
the impending organising of Dayton II which would change the
provisions of the Dayton Agreement signed at the end of 1995.
There is no point in changing something which has not been yet
entirely implemented, Petritsch told the Banja Luka daily
Nezavisne Novine of Monday, adding the Dayton Agreement was much
wiser and more open to evolution than many thought.
As an example of a way in which the Dayton Agreement offered the
possibility to promote the development of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Petritsch referred to a decision by the Bosnian Constitutional
Court making the country's three peoples constituent in both the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska.
The Dayton Agreement required the establishment of the
Constitutional Court which has passed a decision which will change
the two entities' internal structure and ensure that the three
nations in Bosnia-Herzegovina are fully represented and protected
on the entire Bosnian territory, said Petritsch.
