ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - The number of unemployed persons in Croatia in January amounted to 411,115, which is 16,000 more than the month before and 24,900 more than in the same period the year before, the head of the Croatian Employment
Bureau (HZZ), Sanja Crnkovic Pozaic, said last Thursday. The unemployment rate in Croatia reached 23.1 percent, Crnkovic Pozaic told a press conference. The unemployment rate has increased in all counties except Primorje-Gorski Kotar where it dropped by 4.6 percent. In January, 33,598 persons registered at the Croatian Employment Bureau, while in the same month 10,200 persons found jobs. The majority found employment in the education, health and social welfare, real estate and business services.
