BELGRADE, Jan 29 (Hina/Beta) - The Yugoslav media company Politika and the German media corporation Westallgeimeine Zeitung (WAZ) signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture in Belgrade on Tuesday, the Beta news agency
said. The two partners will be equal owners in the new company. WAZ is one of Germany's five leading media corporations with more than 500 publications, including 22 dailies and dozens of magazines in Germany alone, as well as a share in several radio and television stations. Abroad WAZ has ownership shares in Austrian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, and Croatian print media. As of Feb. 1, the managing director of WAZ will be a former co-ordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Bodo Hombach.(hina) ha
