VINKOVCI, Jan 8 (Hina) - Vukovar-Srijem County police prevented 3,817 foreign citizens to enter Croatia in 2001, county police spokesperson Luka Kalinic said Tuesday. The majority of illegal trespassers are from Romania - 3,331
citizens according to Kalinic, followed by Moldova citizens and Yugoslavs. Citizens of 20 European, Asian and African states tried to pass the Croatian border with Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Vukovar-Srijem County.
