PODGORICA, Jan 15 (Hina) - Montenegro will not accept the stances of the European Union about the need of maintaining a joint state with Serbia, a senior official of the Montenegrin People's Party, Predrag Drecun, a member of the
federal expert team, said Monday. "The Montenegrin government will not accept the views of the EU on a joint state, thus, a referendum is imminent," Drecun said, adding that the referendum on the state's independence should be organised as soon as possible so the state crisis in Yugoslavia and Montenegro could be overcome, and to create conditions for the start of reforms.
