All the injured were taken to the Osijek Clinical Hospital, the
Osijek-Baranja County police reported.
The Osijek Commercial Court in August passed a ruling recognising the
assembly at which the new company management was elected, including
Ivo Brzica as chairman of the Supervisory Board. Brzica holds the
majority of shares in the company. The old management and small
shareholders appealed against the ruling with the High Commercial
Court, but it confirmed the initial ruling. Dissatisfied with the
decision, company workers set up a committee to prevent the take-over
and organised round-the-clock shifts in front of the plant to prevent
Brzica from entering it.
