interview with Friday's issue of the Banja Luka-based "Nezavisne novine" daily.
BANJA LUKA, Dec 26 (Hina) - There are numerous indicators that in
Bosnia-Herzegovina there remain people who are ready to carry out
terrorist activities, the head of the Agency for Information and
Protection, Sredoje Novic, said in an interview with Friday's issue of
the Banja Luka-based "Nezavisne novine" daily.#L#
Stating that neither police nor intelligence services in
Bosnia-Herzegovina had performed adequate operative activities in the
country regarding the threat of terrorism, Novic said he was appalled
that none of the security institutions had reacted to operations of
the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) to arrest suspected terrorists.
Asked whether Bosnia faced the threat of terrorist attacks similar to
those in Turkey, Novic said it was impossible to guarantee citizens
absolute security given the country's "fragmented" security system.
