stopped the procedure to assess the constitutionality of
provisions of the Law on Obligatory Relations which was put out of

The Croatian parliament in July this year adopted the Law on
Responsibility for Damage Caused by Terrorist Acts thus filling the
legislative void created by changes to a previous law under which
the state was not responsible for damage caused during the Homeland
War.
With the adoption of the new law, the challenged Law on Obligatory
Relations ceased to be in force and conditions were created to
resume discontinued proceedings for the compensation of damage
caused by acts of terrorism.
The Constitutional Court therefore today decided that there was no
longer any reason to continue with the procedure to assess the
constitutionality of the provisions.
