schools as part of the "Balkan Law School Linkage Initiative"
programme opened in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka on Friday.

The aim of the programme is to promote the rule of law and the
development of a market economy by encouraging reforms in legal
education.
The programme is financed by the US Department of Education and
Culture, and is being implemented in Croatia by the American Bar
Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative
(ABA/CEELI).
The US ambassador to Croatia, Ralph Frank, said American lecturers
would convey their experience to lecturers from law schools in
Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Croatia.
