who were elected at an extraordinary session in October. #L#
Tomislav Cizmic was elected president of the European Movement and
Mislav Stipic president of Europe House. Tomislav Prosinecki
became secretary-general of the European Movement and Vesna Simic
secretary-general of Europe House.
The two organisations have not had permanent leaders since July
this year when Ljubomir Cucic was relieved of his duties as
secretary-general of Europe House.
Cucic tendered his resignation in May after his wife, Magali Boers-
Cucic, accused him in the media of physically and mentally abusing
her for years.
After the European Movement Assembly dismissed Cucic two months
later and appointed an interim secretary-general, it decided to
invite public applications for the vacancy.
The position of secretary-general of the European Movement is
filled by a professional whereas that of president is filled by a
non-paid volunteer.
