ZAGREB ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - Green Action, Croatia's largest ecological NGO, staged an international drive in Zagreb on Saturday calling on the citizens of Europe and the world to send a legally justified complaint to the World
Trade Organisation (WTO) over what the NGO says is the imposition of genetically modified food on Europe.
ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - Green Action, Croatia's largest ecological
NGO, staged an international drive in Zagreb on Saturday calling on
the citizens of Europe and the world to send a legally justified
complaint to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) over what the NGO
says is the imposition of genetically modified food on Europe. #L#
The WTO is requested to respect citizens' rights to decide what they
will eat and to protect their environment.
More than 200 associations from across the world are taking part in
the drive, including ecological, consumers and farmers
associations, as well as trade unions.
Green Action activists collected signatures, calling on citizens
to get involved in the trade dispute between the United States and
Europe over genetically modified food.
