The HSLS Governing Council has recommended the party leadership ask
for a very strong ministerial post, either that of the economy or
reconstruction and development, from HDZ leader and premier-
designate Ivo Sanader, the statement read, but added the party was
willing to accept other suggestions from the HDZ too.
Who will be the HSLS minister will be decided by the party's current
leadership, while the new one will decide about other posts in the
executive authority, the statement said, recalling that the new
leadership will be elected on January 17.
Submitting a report on party performance, president Drazen Budisa
claimed responsibility for the party's failure at last month's
polls.
