republic's officials.

About 30 Croatian intellectuals signed the petition on 10 December
1988 seeking the protection of the right to freedom of movement for
persons whose passports were taken by then current authorities.
Among the protesters, who announced impending democratic changes
in Croatia, were future political party founders Vladimir Seks,
Drazen Budisa, Marko Veselica, Vlado Gotovac, Ante Paradzik, and
Hrvoje Sosic.
