signed a statement of support for Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Ivo Sanader to form the new government.
ZAGREB, Dec 1 (Hina) - The president of Croatia's Party of
Democratic Action (SDA), Semso Tankovic, who will represent the
Albanian, Bosniak, Montenegrin, Macedonian, and Slovene
minorities in the new parliament, said on Monday he had signed a
statement of support for Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Ivo
Sanader to form the new government. #L#
Speaking to reporters at the HDZ offices after talks with the
party's leaders, Tankovic said he had pointed to the problem caused
by the fact that Bosniaks and Slovenes had been left out of the
Croatian Constitution's preamble, which he added had resulted in a
spate of negative effects, notably for Bosniaks.
Tankovic said Sanader felt the demand was reasonable to include
Slovenes and Bosniaks back into the preamble as soon as the
Constitution was amended.
