Strugar, who is on temporary release pending trial, was supposed to
arrive at the tribunal's jail this Wednesday but asked for a
postponement due to his critical condition. Earlier today he was
transferred from a hospital in Podgorica to the military hospital
in Belgrade, its chief-of-staff, Major General Zoran Stankovic,
told local media.
Montenegrin Interior Minister Milan Filipovic said today that in
line with the Hague tribunal's request, the ministry had chosen the
person to accompany Strugar on his flight to Amsterdam, where he
will be turned over to local police.
Strugar had voluntarily surrendered to the tribunal.
