ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - The adviser to the Croatian foreign minister on mine clearance, Dijana Plestina, and France's ambassador to Croatia, Francois Bellanger, on Wednesday signed an agreement on cooperation between the Croatian
non-governmental organisation "Mine Aid" and France under which France donated EUR25,000 to the regional centre for the psycho-social rehabilitation of mine victims in the northern Adriatic town of Rovinj.
ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - The adviser to the Croatian foreign minister
on mine clearance, Dijana Plestina, and France's ambassador to
Croatia, Francois Bellanger, on Wednesday signed an agreement on
cooperation between the Croatian non-governmental organisation
"Mine Aid" and France under which France donated EUR25,000 to the
regional centre for the psycho-social rehabilitation of mine
victims in the northern Adriatic town of Rovinj. #L#
The centre, where children who sustained mine injuries will be
treated, will be opened next spring.
Plestina said that children from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania,
Nepal, Ireland and Columbia already expressed interest in being
treated in the Croatian centre.
A total of EUR700,000 has already been donated for the setting up of
the rehabilitation centre in Croatia. Donations have been made by
the governments of Norway, Italy, Luxembourg and Japan, and by
companies and institutions from Croatia and the world.
