It is still not clear what the fishing regime in Piran Bay will be
like after May 1, when Slovenia enters the European Union and a new
arrangement will likely have to be made, the Croatian
representative on the commission, Olga Kresovic-Rogulja, said
after the four-hour meeting.
Slovenia has said at the meeting that in the future, the EU will be
Croatia's interlocutor with regard to economic fishing in Piran
Bay.
Today the Croatian-Slovene commission also discussed models of
future joint tourist zones in border areas and border crossing in
those zones.
