ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - The leader of the Social Democratic Party

Addressing the rally, which was held in the city's central square
and pooled some 20,000 people, Racan said the party's ratings were
constantly improving ahead of the elections.
"We moved Croatia forward four years ago and the gentlemen who now
tour Croatia saying 'Let's move Croatia forward' are four years
late," Racan said, adding that his party was a guarantee that
Croatia would join the EU.
He recalled that under the SDP's leadership Croatia had been pulled
out of political isolation and crisis, which was followed by the
launching of development cycles and projects important for the
future.
During the term of the ruling coalition, the highway Croatians had
dreamt about for centuries was built as promised, Racan said,
adding that the SDP-led government would complete the Zagreb-Split
highway in a year and a half.
Candidates in constituencies nos. 1, 2, 6 and 7, which cover parts
of the capital, were introduced at the rally.
The SDP also aired several alternative video-clips, including a
parody of the main political rival and Croatian Democratic Union
leader Ivo Sanader's video-clip entitled "Let's move Croatia
forward". The parody, which features Sanader moving clumsily, was
entitled "Yes to recreation".
