Addressing the rally, party president Zlatko Tomcic said Croatia's
future was not in the past, rows, and hatred, but in a national
consensus on the most important issues.
Advocating an expert government, Tomcic said the economy was
Croatia's central issue. The economic policy has to change
radically and consist of an integral national market and a national
economy, he said.
Tomcic reiterated the HSS had moved extending the range of goods on
which VAT would be zero, and stressed the significance of
employment, which he said was more important than development
rates.
