Some 300 HSU commissioners from all over the country, who gathered
at the rally, were told that the HSU advocated a better financial
and social status of pensioners.
Party president Vladimir Jordan urged the revision of the pension
reform, the payment of the money the state owes to pensioners, and
increasing pensions in line with the growth of GDP.
In its economic platform the party advocates changes in all social
structures, the development of Croatia as a welfare and just state,
the recovery of production, and an eight percent increase in GDP.
HSU leaders believe the party could win five to eight seats in
parliament.
