ZAGREB, Nov 18 (Hina) - Croatian illustrator Mirko Ilic has won the gold medal of the American association of illustrators for the cover of the book "Ear, Throat, Knife", Zagreb's AGM said on Tuesday.

Ilic designed the cover of Vedrana Rudan's first novel, which
topped the bestsellers list in Croatia for months.
Born in Bosnia-Herzegovina's Bijeljina in 1956, Ilic has been
working in New York since 1986. He works as an illustrator for many
renowned dailies and magazines, including Time and The New York
Times.
