OPATIJA, Oct 20 (Hina) - A Council of Europe ministerial conference
on intercultural dialogue and conflict prevention opened in the
northern Adriatic resort town of Opatija on Monday. #L#
Thirty-two culture ministers and participants from 48 European
countries will discuss the new role and new responsibilities of
culture ministers in initiating intercultural dialogue and
promoting cultural diversity.
The participants were greeted by the Croatian Minister of Culture,
Antun Vujic, and the Council of Europe Director of Culture and
Cultural and Natural Heritage, Katherine Roth.
The conference is expected to adopt a declaration on intercultural
dialogue and conflict prevention.
