"We request that the Culture of Religions course be an alternative
course for the very small number of pupils who don't opt for
confessional religious teaching. Given that this course (...)
should also treat religious themes, we request that its content,
textbooks and teachers be jointly decided by the churches and
religious communities," the bishops said in a joint statement on
Wednesday.
