ZAGREB, Nov 17 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Defence Ministry and other ministries on Monday started the first in a series of working meetings with officials of the US Logistics Management Institute (LMI) on the exchange of
logistics information. The meetings are part of Croatia's preparations to join NATO.

Ministry and other ministries on Monday started the first in a
series of working meetings with officials of the US Logistics
Management Institute (LMI) on the exchange of logistics
information. The meetings are part of Croatia's preparations to
join NATO. #L#
During the meetings, which will last a week, LMI officials will
inform Croatian military and civil officials about NATO's
logistics doctrine, policy and methods of work, offering Croatia
assistance with regard to participation in future NATO-led peace
operations.
Participants in the meetings will discuss the identification of
logistics requirements in peace operations, improvement of
cooperation between the army and civil ministries in matters of
importance for national security, as well as the definition of
possible areas of future cooperation between Croatia, the USA and
NATO.
The one-week seminar will include a number of lectures on NATO
logistics and similar topics, as well as a number of demonstrations
of knowledge.
