in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday started destroying over 1,000
tonnes of ammunition and explosives possessed by the Army of
Republika Srpska (VRS), SFOR spokesman Jeremy Tod said in Sarajevo

Inspections have shown that VRS depots contain large amounts of
unstable ammunition and explosive devices posing a great threat to
the environment and the military personnel, he said.
Last Friday SFOR announced it would destroy all unnecessary arms
and ammunition in Bosnia-Herzegovina by next summer.
