on Tuesday issued an indictment against Mustafa Hota, former member
of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army suspected of war crimes against
Croats in the Grabovica village in Herzegovina. #L#
The Prosecutor's Office said in a statement that as a member of the
9th motorised brigade of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army, Hota
participated in the Grabovica massacre and is suspected of killing
Pero Maric and his wife Dragice in the night between September 8 and
9, 1993.
Members of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army killed more than 30 Croat
nationals in Grabovica. The International Criminal Tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia in The Hague indicted the war-time military
Chief-of-Staff, General Safer Halilovic, for the Grabovica
massacre based on command responsibility.
The start of the Halilovic trial is announced for January 2004.
