Presenting his platform in Italian, Radin said it was actually the
programme of the Italian Union, because it advocated the union of
that alliance as the umbrella association of the Italian minority
in Croatia and Slovenia.
Speaking about the legal implications of autochthonous minority
status, Radin said the Italian minority should have special rights
which would be regulated with municipality, town and county
statutes to protect bilingualism and Italian institutions.
"Since we were unjustly denied the right to an additional vote, I
call on the Italian Union and minority to vote for the minority list
because the force of numbers is the only way to show our presence in
Croatia," Radin concluded.
Presenting his party's slate, the leader of the Third Croatian
Bloc, Vladimir Bebic, said that instead of left and right blocs, he
offered voters a third option promoting positive changes in
society.
