Police reported yesterday that ahead of an SDP electoral rally in
the southern Croatian town of Imotski "an unpleasant situation took
place because one man threw eggs at SDP candidates in constituency
no. 10". The man, whose initials are D.S. (born in 1971), is from
Imotski and charges have been filed against him.
Split's SDP said the party's candidates Slavko Linic and Marin
Jurjevic had not only eggs thrown at them, but other objects such as
glasses as well and that the candidates were dirty from head to toe.
Jurjevic said that Linic left the scene of the accident with a
bloody forehead.
