DRNIS DRNIS, Nov 5 (Hina) - The reconstructed market, whose renovation cost 330,000 U.S. dollars, was officially opened in the southern Croatian town of Drnis on Wednesday. The funds for the market's reconstruction were secured by the
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The director of the USAID for Croatia, William Jeffers, voiced
satisfaction with cooperation between local authorities and the
USAID. So far, Americans have invested $1.75 million in the
reconstruction of infrastructure and utilities in the Drnis area.
Jeffers added that since 1992, this agency had invested over 280
million in various projects of reconstruction and assistance to
returnees in Croatia.
