"The Swedish king is very well acquainted with what happened in
Croatia during the war as well as with current developments," said
Mesic after the audience with the king.
The Croatian head of state added that King Karl Gustav XVI was
particularly interested in Croatia's strategic goals regarding the
united Europe and deadlines by which Zagreb was planning to
accomplish them.
Mesic voiced satisfaction with his visit to Sweden and the talks he
held with his hosts, particularly those addressing economic co-
operation.
Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic has said the Swedish-Croatian
economy day, which pooled some 60 Croatian and Swedish business
people in Stockholm on Thursday, was a good opportunity for
presenting Croatia to this Scandinavian state as a stable,
successful and promising partner ready for stable and long-term
investments.
During his visit to the Ericsson main offices, senior managers
informed Mesic of the company's activities and results, as well as
its business plans in connection with the Ericcson Nikola Tesla
company in Croatia.
On Friday afternoon Mesic departed from Stockholm for Zagreb,
wrapping up his three-day tour of Scandinavia. On Wednesday, he
visited Finland, and in the past two days he was in Sweden.
