POZEGA, Oct 21 (Hina) - Over 500 workers of the Kutjevo company blocked roads in the Pozega area of eastern Croatia on Tuesday in protest at the ongoing process of privatisation in this agricultural and food processing plant.

Leaders of protesters, who used their tractors and farm machinery
to block three regional roads, said they would continue their
protests and strike until their demands were met.
The workers insist on a speedy and fair privatisation with partners
who can settle all the debts of the company, or that the government
ensure funds to bail out the company.
On Tuesday, Kutjevo's senior managers travelled to Zagreb for talks
with Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic on possibilities of expeditious
privatisation of the company.
