commander Agim Qeku, saying it was "unacceptable to the

Qeku was apprehended at Ljubljana airport on Wednesday by Slovene
police acting on an Interpol warrant.
Rugova said that the Slovene authorities did not have the right to
"stop prominent figures or citizens of Kosovo on the basis of
fabricated charges by a neighbouring country."
The Kosovo leader demanded that Qeku be urgently released.
KPC deputy commander Suleiman Selimi said on Wednesday that the
arrest was "a scandalous act" that would "cause tension and worsen
the situation in Kosovo."
The international administration of Kosovo said on Wednesday
evening it was in contact with the Slovene authorities in
connection with Qeku's arrest.
