ZAGREB, Oct 22 (Hina) - Croatia's Social Welfare and Labour Minister Davorko Vidovic and the permanent representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Croatia, Cornelis Klein, on Wednesday signed an agreement on improving the
capacities of the social welfare and labour ministry.

Development Programme (UNDP) in Croatia, Cornelis Klein, on
Wednesday signed an agreement on improving the capacities of the
social welfare and labour ministry. #L#
Under the agreement, a special department will be set up within the
ministry to implement, monitor and evaluate the reform of the
social welfare system.
The UNDP will provide US$256,000 for the activities of the
department in the first year, while Vidovic's ministry should
ensure offices and information and communications equipment.
The four-member department is expected to start operating on 1
December.
