"The conclusion is a serious political warning sent to Croatia, as
it was published together with a report on cooperation with the
Hague-based tribunal, and we welcome it," Rupel said.
However, the Slovene minister said he was sorry to see that a
formulation which would condemn Croatia's unilateral move was not
adopted or that no separate statement on the matter had not been
made, which Rupel had proposed after his meeting with Italian
Foreign Minister Franco Frattini last week.
"The European Union is soft on Croatia because of its special
position and coming elections," Rupel told Slovene ministers in
Luxembourg.
