ZAGREB, Oct 3 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament late Friday evening rejected a proposal by the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) to declare an exclusive economic zone in the Adriatic.

A total of 53 deputies of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Libra
and the Liberal Party (LS) voted against the HSP's motion.
Deputies of the ruling the HSS (Croatian Peasant Party) abstained
from the voting.
Forty eight (48) opposition MPs from the Croatian Democratic Party
(HDZ), the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), the Democratic
Centre (DC), the Croatian Bloc (HB) and Croatian True Revival
(HIP), voted in favour.
