ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Friday morning
resumed its session with a debate on draft amendments to the
inheritance law. #L#
Deputy Justice Minister, Miljenko Kovac, who presented the
changes, said the aim of those amendments and amendments to some
other related laws which the government was preparing, was to
relieve courts of the heavy burden of pending cases.
The amendments to the inheritance law envisage that public
notaries, instead of courts, will hold probate proceedings.
Of parliamentary parties that took part in the debate, the Libra
opposed the changes, while the Democratic Centre supported them.
